How to sharpen a Chainsaw with a drill for a better result.
-whatever works. I sharpen chains at a small engine repair shop. I laugh almost daily at some that come in for sharpening. I tell ALL people who insist on continuing to sharpen their own chains...buy a bar guide and a depth gauge tool for the rakers. When all the cutters are at the same angles, it is night and day difference in how a chain performs. Too much raker height it cuts like crap. Too little raker height and you get chain chatter which will lead to a burnt bar.
I would advise against this. A file is designed to used in one direction. The push away only. When you rotate the file like this you are just wearing out the file. This might work but no good can come from this.
